Deaths of tens of thousands of Korean defenders, the result of U.S. military actions. Invasion of Vietnam, on fabricated allegations, resulting in 58,000 dead American GIs, many others maimed, many wounded, some becoming abandoned POWs, all but forgotten today. Murders of 20,00 to 45,000 Vietnamese under the CIA's Phoenix program. Deaths of hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese from U.S. military actions. Secret invasion of Laos and Cambodia, with the deaths of thousands of innocent villagers. Invasion and killing of hundreds of Panamanians on the pretense that Colonel Noriega was dealing in drugswhich he had been, for years, with CIA and other U.S. personnel. (Described in the book, Drugging America.) Invasion of the little island of Grenada on the pretense that the lengthening of the runway was so that Soviet aircraft could land. The intent was to promote tourism. Many Grenadian were killed by the massive overkill force used by the United States. Invasion of the small nation of Cuba on the pretense that Cuba was a threat to the United States. Repeated contracts with organized mobsters to try and kill Fidel Castro. Funding and arming of rebels to overthrow the government of Nicaragua. Illegal arms to Iran in an arms-for-hostages swaps, and then lying about it (as in every other operation). Illegal funding and arming of Iraq during the 1980s, approving of the use of gas by Iraq during the Iraq-Iran war. White House involvement in drug smuggling during the Contra Affair, as detailed by insiders in the books, Drugging America and Defrauding America. Invasion of Iraq on a pattern of blatant serial lying, repeated year after year despite reliable information showing the flat statement to bee false, counting on media people covering up and counting on public ignorance. Undermining the Iranian government in 1953, installing the Shah, which then led to the Iranian revolution in 1979, and hatred for America. Funding and arming of Islamic rebels in Afghanistan seeking to topple the secular government seeking to bring the country into the 20th Century, which caused the rulers to request the Soviet Union to send in troops to help defend against the rebels. This in turn led to the United States funding and arming still more rebels, causing the Soviets to remove their military. The government was then overthrown with U.S. funds and weapons, which resulted in a civil war, and then the Taliban coming into power. The U.S. initially cultivated the Taliban. What U.S. politicians had called "freedom fighters," who the U.S. had trained, funded and armed, were later called by U.S. politicians, "terrorists." Undermining of governments and operations to assassinate leaders throughout the world, became normal operations. The arrogance in foreign affairs was duplicated by arrogance against the American people by key people in the three branches of the federal government. The details of this arrogance, and the many Americans who continue to be victims of it, are found in the various books written by a former federal agent and his group of other former government agents, drug smugglers and Mafia figures. No End to Ripple Effects Understanding the tragic ripple effects of the corruption in the various government activities, enabled to occur by the endemic cover-ups, might possibly shock the American people out of their complacency. However, it is the public that shares in the blame for many of the tragedies arising from the corruption for which there is ample evidence. These ripple effects will continue, made possible by virtually every group described here. Books providing detailed information on these matters.
