Author’s Credentials
The author held federal authority and responsibility to determine air safety problems and violations. He held one of the most sensitive air safety positions in the Federal Aviation Administration, in an area that bred many of the nation's air disasters. The author was a navy pilot and flight instructor in World War Two, an airline pilot for airlines throughout the world, a federal air safety investigator. He developed several of the air safety procedures that are in common airline use today. His discovery of fraud-related air disasters caused him to become an independent prosecutor in the FAA, file federal lawsuits, and publish three editions of Unfriendly Skies, seeking to halt the tragedy-related corruption. The author has appeared as guest and expert on over 3,000 radio and television shows since 1978 in the United States, Canada, Mexico, France, Germany, and Turkey.
