<body> The Fantasies of Memorial Day Memorial day, May 25,2009, caused this former Navy Patrol Plane Commander to consider a few of the many examples of how the accolades coming from the self-serving politicians on Memorial Day hide the actual state of affairs as to how veteran are really treated. This site gives a few examples, and in one area shows the links between the great harm inflicted upon one highly decorated Lt. Colonel had links to some of America's most recent catastrophic events. Watching on television the prior day's National Memorial Day Concert in the nation's capitol, this writer had the following thoughts and flashbacks: Repeated images of American soldiers that were wounded in the Iraq War, many of whom were in a vegetative state and would, for the remainder of their long life remain in a miserable state, and an enormous burden to those who have to care for them. The lies by the politicians that sent them off to an unlawful and unwinnable war, and the many shills that enabled them to pull off the scam upon the American people. They were responsible for the deaths, injuries, and lifelong invalid or worse stage of the victimized soldiers. All of whom suffered because of the lies that brought about their tragic plight and end of life. The mothers who grieved for the loss of their sons, or whose sons came back to them in a vegetative state, and wondered if they voted for the politicians whose lies were responsible for the loss of their sons, or if they were in support of the war that killed over one million Iraqis. The endless series of noble-sounding statements about how those who were sent to war on lies were defending the United States, and freedom--statements that only the most illiterate could accept as reality. The presence and the speech by General Colin Powell, secretary of state under President George Bush, who praised the soldiers that died, saying they suffered in the cause of freedom or democracy. It was Powell, whose whose speech before the United Nations in February 2003, that was riddled with lies, played a major role in the nearly 5,000 deaths and 40,000 injured that he was now praising! Powell, surely with tongue in check, praised the fallen for their sacrifices in defense of the United States, when his litany of lies brought the soldiers that he was praising for the pathetic plight that would be theirs for the remainder of their life. The victims he was praising were victims of his own lies and those of President George Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and their shills in and out of government. Disposable War Heroes And then there is the subject of disposal war heroes, who once the good-sounding statements made on Memorial Day have passed, were preyed about and suffered great harm. One such war hero is Richard Taus. He flew many near-suicide helicopter missions to rescue wounded soldiers surrounded by enemy fire, and received numerous medals for heroism. While in Vietnam, he was concerned about the CIA drug smuggling and the incapacitation of military personnel on drugs. He reported these crimes to members of Congress, who instead of investigating as their duties required, they continued their universal cover-ups that other government agents had encountered during the past 40 years. After Taus became an FBI agent in the FBI offices in New York City, and working directly under FBI supervisor Lindley DeVecchio, he discovered: Secret funding and arming of Iraq during the Reagan-Bush presidencies, which set the stage for the several U.S. attacks upon Iraq. Other corrupt activities of CIA-front companies. Criminal activities of various Mafia groups that his FBI supervisor repeatedly ordered him to cease investigating. (The crimes of his supervisor were far more serious.) Taus discovered what many other government agents had discovered. High-level management personnel blocked the legal functions of government departments by covering up and retaliating against any individual government employee who attempted to report such corrupt activities. Taus circumvented the cover-up in the U.S. Department of Justice and reported the matters to members of Congress, True to their culture, members of Congress covered up for high-level corruption, and then compounded their obstruction of justice cover-up by reporting Taus' complaints to the people in the FBI-DOJ that were guilty of the crimes. FBI and other Department of Justice personnel then filed false charges against Taus. With a thoroughly corrupt system, this highly decorated Lt. Colonel was sentenced to 50 years in the state prison, where he is now languishing at Dannemora, New York. The list of disposal heroes are endless. For instance: Taus' supervisor was involved in a series of murders with the feared Mafia capo in New York City, Gregory Scarpa, Sr., also known as "The Killing Machine." Those crimes were known to high-level FBI-DOJ personnel, who covered up for them. The cover-ups were criminal acts under the federal obstruction of justice statutes, and perpetrated by people responsible for the nation's highest law enforcement agency. The felony obstruction of justice by high-level Justice Department employees had consequences that would have catastrophic consequences for the American people and the United States. The cover-up for the murders−and the cover-up of the murders−required that high-level FBI-DOJ personnel "deep-six" information about terrorist attacks planned by the al Qaeda group. The information was provided to FBI agents by a former Mafia soldier in the New York City area that had obtained the confidence of infamous Ramzi Yousef, the mastermind of the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center. That information−the most important information on al Qaeda plans that had ever been received by any government department−provided advance knowledge of the following terrorist attacks: The planned downing of a U.S. airliners departing from a local New York City airport. That information was given to local FBI agents in the New York City offices shortly before the downing of TWA Flight 800. The planned bombing of U.S. Embassies in Africa, which was then followed by two deadly bombing attacks on U.S. Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. The planned hijacking of U.S. airliners, which, of course, was followed by the hijackings of four airliners on September 11, 2001. Also, how bomb material could be arranged so that it would not be detected during preflight screening. The mole in the al Qaeda cell was a former Mafia soldier, and the son of the Mafia capo, Gregory Scarpa, Sr. The son was scheduled to testify concerning the series of murders that his father committed with the help of an FBI supervisor (the one under whom the highly decorated military officer Richard Taus was assigned). Department of Justice personnel intended to discredit the son's testimony so as to discredit his credibility, and the information about the murderous and felonious culture inside the FBI and other Department of Justice offices. These became compound criminal acts. This cover-up was also important since local media investigative reports and criminal trails revealed the years of murders perpetrated by FBI agents in the Boston offices with the approval and cover-up of high-level FBI-DOJ personnel. The exposure of a series of murders by FBI agents in the FBI Boston and New York City offices−and the years of cover-ups by high FBI-DOJ personnel, would be devastating to the careers of key Department of Justice personnel and the public discoverer of the deadly culture in the nation's top law enforcement department. A Few "Minor" Collateral Consequences Of These FBI-DOJ Crimes Covering up for information on the planned terrorist attacks upon major U.S. targets could be expected to have catastrophic consequences. And of course it did. If the public were to learn about these crimes cover-ups, and understand their significance and catastrophic consequences−key people in virtually every government and non-government check and balance could face serious consequences. "Deep-Sixing" Top Al Qaeda Information While Torturing Low-Level Detainees While top FBI-DOJ personnel were receiving and covering up for current information on al Qaeda terrorist plans, coming from the most important al Qaeda source that the United States had ever received, U.S. politicians ordering the unlawful and brutal torture upon mostly low level detainees. Most of them had no knowledge of al Qaeda operations, and none were in the loop with current information. At this time, there is evidence of a pattern of major criminal acts by people in key government positions that enabled to occur: The deadliest terrorist attack in the history of the United States. The start of two major wars based on a pattern of serial lying, that has already resulted in greater harm to the United States, with far more deaths, then the corruption and blundering enabled to occur on September 11, 2001. The United States and its people are now a quagmire and Catch-22 situation with the same culture and people in control that brought the United States to the present state that it is now in. There is much more to this matter then state here. Absolute Necessity to Withhold This Sordid Information from the Public The extreme nature of the corruption and the consequence, and the great number of people directly involved, and an even great number involved through cover-ups. If the American public now learned−and understood−the details of corruption and the cover-ups, the danger existed that the root of the endemic corruption involving key people and key groups in and out of government, would be exposed. That could lead to unexpected public outrage, though the past history of public reaction to great corruption and related catastrophic events makes that highly unlikely. For instance: The public won't read books and material on these subjects. It requires the exercise of mental energy, and this has become more scarce than before. Where protesters exist, they only protest matters that require no mental energy to learn the facts. Further they protest symptoms of the overwhelming corruption. And then, as is common by young people in the nation's higher "learning" institutions such as the University of California at Berkley−where students protest for two years against the cutting down of a tree to make room for expanding the teaching facilities. They aren't productive enough to buy the toilet paper to wipe their own rears, and now protest in a way that shows their utterly pathetic mental state and conduct.
