Israel-U.S. Palestine Negotiations: A Cruel Hoax for Palestinians— And Terrorist Attacks for American People The standard lying rhetoric from U.S. politicians the about the Palestine situation covered up the elating to the brutal occupation and colonizing of Palestine land by militant Israeli leaders, Zionists, made possible by pandering U.S. politicians. The American public has been targeted with outright lies, twisting of the facts, double standards, hypocrisy, that are ripe in politics, but blatantly prominent in the Israel-Palestine situation. Unless a person has the interest and the mental ability to look at enough facts, he or she is easily duped on the matter. The ugly truth is that self-interest U.S. politicians are and have been pandering for years to the militant Zionist faction in control of Israel and to the powerful Israel lobby. Some of the sham arguments repeated time and time again have been the following: It is only through negotiations between Israel and Palestine that a peaceful settlement can occur. (After 30 years of negotiations that saw Israel continue to colonize throughout the Palestine land.) A Palestine state can be created only from direct peace negotiations. [Knowing that Palestinians would never agree to the demands of Israel.] Palestinians must make peace with Israel before gaining statehood themselves. (Palestinians were occupied by a militant force killing and humiliating the Palestinians.] Whom is waging war? Palestinians, or Israelis? "Peace will not come through statements and resolutions at the UN." President Barack Obama, September 21, 2011. U.N. membership is no shortcut to peace. UN recognition of Palestine as a state would do the very opposite of what Israel and U.S. politicians stated. In no way would it interfere with impeding negotiations, negotiations that were deliberately blocked by Israel as they colonized all parts of Palestine while brutally treating the invaded people. Recognition would provide legal protection to the Palestinians against violence; a chance to fight back the invading Israelis; the right to take complaints to the International Criminal Court, and the International Court of Justice. Those are the things that Israeli politicians and their shills among America's leaders and politicians feared. Zionists' Standard Evasive Answer: Negotiations The evasive standard answers that the Zionist leaders in Israel give, as repeated by Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, appearing on the Charlie Rose Show (September 26, 2011), is the evasive response—negotiations. But what the Israeli leaders don't say is that their firm demands would never be accepted by the Palestinians—or any occupied people. As Israeli leaders have stated at various times, and as Netanyahu stated at various times during the Charlie Rose appearance, was the following: Israel requirement to maintain Israel troops along the Jordan River, which is the eastern border of Palestine. The troops then would remain in Palestine territory. Netanyahu stated this was for security. But no nation has the right to place troops in another nation's territory on the claim of security. Netanyahu sought to associate his claim with the United States having troops in other countries 50 years after the end of World War II. But those troops were allowed to be there by the host nation, and not forced upon them as Israel demands. The 500-mile 25-foot high concrete wall built by Israel inside Palestine territory, including surrounding Jerusalem, would remain, thereby retaining invaded territory. The city of Jerusalem would become Israel's capital. The 330,000-plus Israeli settlers, placed in permanent settlements built throughout Palestine, contain militant Israelis who vowed to fight before they would leave. Israel would never agree to voluntarily abandon the permanent settlements and the Israeli settlers that were paid thousands of dollars to move into the settlements. Israel demands control over Palestine airspace, thereby violating the airspace of a sovereign nation. Netanyahu sought to support this claim by stating that if Palestine had control of its airspace, that there was risk of aircraft circling for a landing is Israel could be shot down. But that does not justify invading another country. Palestinians that lived in what is now Israel, and who were forced to leave, would not have the right to return. During the Charlie Rose appearance, Netanyahu said that Israel would be for Jews, thereby admitting that it was an apartheid nation. During the same show, Netanyahu stated that Israel was a democratic nation. But that was blatantly false as non-Jews living in Israel are denied many of the rights that the Jews have. Charlie Rose failed miserably in forcing Israel's prime minister to answer such questions as: Why do you continue to build permanent settlements deep within and throughout Palestine? Do you intend to abandon claim to these settlements? How do you intend to have the Israelis that moved to these settlements vacate when they have stated they will fight with M-16 weapons if they are pressured to leave? Do you intend to tear down the 500-mile concrete wall that is inside Palestine territory, and that which encircles Jerusalem? Netanyahu also admitted to receiving huge bombs from the United States that could penetrate Iran's underground nuclear facilities, and that Israel maintained its right to bomb Iran. That would bring about massive military actions in the Middle East that would bring the United States into a war with multiple Middle East countries. Quick Comment In a Nutshell Decades of atrocities inflicted by Israeli's Zionist leaders upon the Palestinian people in the invaded and only occupied nation in the world: Palestine. Sham excuses and lies given to the American people by the Zionist leaders of Israel. Sham excuses and lies given to the American people by U.S. leaders and politicians. The catastrophic blowback harm suffered by Americans from the Israeli Zionist leaders and pandering U.S. politicians. The many Jews and Jewish groups are against the actions of the Zionist leaders in Israel relating to the Palestine invasion and occupation. Deadly and catastrophic consequences upon the American people resulted from the conduct by the Zionist state and the aiding and abetting by pandering U.S. politicians, expanding on prior and continuing consequences form the conduct of the most corrupt and largest segment of the U/S. government. See corrupt U.S. politicians and list of great American tragedies. Details and evidence follows. Contradictory Conduct (Lies) By Israeli and U.S. Politicians—While Brutalizing The Palestinians and Feigning Peace Negotiations Sampling of statements by Israeli political leaders: The Palestinians have refused to negotiate. [Refuse to negotiate while Israel continues to colonize much of Palestine with permanent settlements that Israel has no intention of abandoning, nor the Jews occupying such settlements will ever leave.] Israel wants peace with a Palestinian state.[ Israel has been killing residents of the occupied land, abusing them in every way possible. This is not peace.] Israel made a sweeping peace offer that met virtually all of the Palestinian demands. [Israel firmly refused to vacate the seized land.] We actually left territory. [That is a lie; Israel continues to build permanent settlements throughout Palestine.] We didn’t freeze the settlements in Gaza, we uprooted them. [A lie. Israel has dozens of permanent settlements throughout Palestine, and the Palestinians only have spots of land remaining.] We dismantle the settlements. [Another lie; there are over 600 military checkpoints throughout Palestine.] The Palestinians should first make peace with Israel and then get their state. [Peace? They are brutalized by the invading Israeli settlers and military.] UN recognition of statehood will halt the peace process. [That is a ridiculous statement.] Palestinians waged a terror war that killed and maimed thousands of Israelis. [That figure of thousands applies to Palestinians killed by Israeli.] Ordered the removal of hundreds of check points. [Israel has hundreds of checkpoints throughout Palestine.] United Nations membership is no shortcut to peace. [United Nations involvement focuses attention on Israel's atrocities and sham excuses for continuing, to colonize the entire Palestine territory.] Sampling of statements by pandering U.S. politicians and leaders: The appropriate forum to resolve what is a political issue is negotiations. [Knowing that Israel's demands would never be accepted by Palestinians. Also, there is nothing political about Israel invading and colonizing the Palestinian territory; that is war!] U.S. politicians stated they will cut off aid to Palestine if they proceed to seek UN statehood recognition—thereby pandering to the powerful Israel lobby. Republican politicians have fallen all over themselves praising Israel and condemning the Palestinians, seeking to win votes from the Jewish population in the United States. Sampling of Brutalities Upon Palestinian People For 20 years while the Zionist state of Israel and pandering U.S politicians were jointly brutalizing and colonizing Palestine, and claiming their interest in peace negotiations, they were simultaneously doing the opposite. Life was grim for the Palestinians. While Israeli and U.S. politicians were paining bring pictures of peace progress, Palestinians were routinely ordered out of their homes; their homes bulldozed, some with the people inside. The Zionist state of Israel routinely confiscated homes. People often returned to find their homes demolished. Israeli politicians were building permanent settlements throughout the Palestine land, colonizing it far beyond the borders. Israeli political leaders were paying (a reported $20,000) for Jewish people to move to the permanent settlements deep inside Palestine territory, far from the 1967 and United Nations recognized borders. Palestinians were cut off from their schools, Israel deploys 300+ portable barricades on a monthly basis to control civilians' movement between towns and cities across the occupied West Bank. The route of the Wall means that people are cut off from their schools, workplaces, hospitals and even water supplies. hospitals, water supplies, workplaces. Israeli politicians built nearly 600 military checkpoints throughout the Palestine land that blocked commercial and social travel by Palestinians throughout their own country. Hours of wait were common, prohibiting any normal business or social relationships. Palestinians experiencing a medical emergency were delayed at check points for hours, and during the evening, totally bared from reading hospitals. A huge 25-feet concrete apartheid wall, 500 miles long, was built inside Palestine beyond the United Nations and 1967 borders, funded by the five billion or so dollars U.S. politicians give annually to the Zionist nation. Conduct Showed Israeli and U.S. Politicians Engaging In Continuing Hoaxes with Brutal Consequences For Palestinians—and Deadly for Americans All of these actions contradicted the blatant lies that Israeli and U.S. politicians were stating. In one of the most glaring acts subverting national interest, they knew that it was this conduct that was the initial and continuing reason for decades of terrorist attacks upon U.S. targets. Even after the early attacks upon U.S. targets resulting from Israel-U.S. brutality upon the Palestinians, Israeli and pandering U.S. politicians continued their deception, knowing that worse would surely befall the American people. And as history showed, these expected consequences did occur, with the victimized American public in a state of blissful ignorance. (This writer lived for periods of time during the early 1950s in Jerusalem and Ramallah, as an airline captain flying Muslim pilgrims from throughout the Middle East to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina, on the hajj.) Outraged non-Palestinians in nearby countries, unable to sit idly by as these outrages were being done to an otherwise peaceful people, did what they were able to do from a position of weakness. They engaged in attacks upon U.S. targets, each seemingly more deadly then earlier ones, including the 9/11 hijackings. stretching for about 500 miles, further showing that Israeli leaders had no intention of returning the land to the Palestinians. That wall was condemned by the International Court of Justice, writing in part: “The construction of the wall and its associated regimes are contrary to international law,” read the document of the ruling, leaving little room for intentional misinterpretation. Map of separation wall in PDF format. Israeli check points in PDF format. The International Court and the Wall: An Alternative Road Map By Elie Hourani, Electronic Intifada 10/30/2004 Israel’s construction of the separation wall in the occupied Palestinian territories and its associated regime are contrary to international law. In a non-binding advisory opinion delivered on 9 July 2004, the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the principal judicial organ of the United Nations, said Israel must cease construction of the wall and dismantle sections located in the occupied territories forthwith; repeal or render ineffective all related legislative and regulatory acts; compensate for damage caused; and, return Palestinian property or provide compensation if restitution is not possible. U.S. politicians, shills for the powerful Israeli lobby, supported the wall: White House brushes aside ruling on separation fence Ha'aretz 7/9/2004 The White House on Friday brushed aside a ruling by the International Court of Justice on the West Bank separation fence, saying it didn't think it was the right forum for addressing the issue. "We do not believe that that's the appropriate forum to resolve what is a political issue. This is an issue that should be resolved through the process that has been put in place, specifically the road map," White House spokesman Scott McClellan said aboard Air Force One as President George W. Bush was en route to a campaign tour in Pennsylvania. Over a thousand Palestinians were imprisoned (2011) including women and children, without charges being filed. Hundreds of Palestinians were killed during the Israeli occupation. Water problems for Palestinians in both the West Bank & Gaza Strip. Lives of Palestinians for past 40 years: Houses demolished\ for Israeli settlers, Israel roads, in Palestinian land. (Low income Israeli's are paid $20,000 to move from Israel into permanent settlements throughout the Palestine land.) The entire Palestine land, far from any Israel borders needed for security, is littered with permanent Israeli settlements and dozens of check points. Palestinians must go through dozens of Israel check points—in Palestine land—to get from one part of Palestine to another, sometimes waiting hours at each check point. Uprooting of centuries old olive trees for replanting in Israel. Educational opportunities are severely restricted. Unemployment is rampant. Travel opportunities are severely restricted, preventing carrying out any normal business or social activities. Gaza fishermen are severely restricted from fishing in the coastal waters. Rebuilding structures destroyed by IDF are severely restricted. Peaceful demonstrators have been injured or killed by Israel's militant response with tear gas, sound bombs, rubber bullets, and even live ammunition. Assassinations of suspected Palestinian militants and resulting collateral injuries and deaths to others. Large prevalence of PTSD symptoms in Gaza population, especially among the children. Living in a apartheid environment. Apartheid is defined by the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court as inhumane acts of a character similar to other crimes against humanity "committed in the context of an institutionalized regime of systematic oppression and domination by one racial group [or religious] over any other racial group or groups, and committed with the intention of maintaining that regime." The brutal occupation of Palestine and of its people has been financially enabled by pandering U.S. politicians, as another example of how America's politicians make possible the great hatred and terrorist acts against the United States. As estimated $5 billion a year of U.S. taxpayers' money is given to the Zionist state of Israel. Arrogant Threats of by Israeli and U.S. Politicians if Palestinians Seek Relief from Brutality Through UN Statehood Recognition or Observer Status Middle East Monitor (September 22, 2011) described hard-liners in Israel threatening Palestinians with even more atrocities if the Palestinians seek United Nations recognition of their plight." According to a report in Israel's Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, Israel's foreign minister, Avigdor Lieberman, warned Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with removal if Netanyahu did not take [more] punitive measures against Palestinians if the Palestinians went ahead with their bid for United Nations recognitions. Netanyahu was warned that he must cancel the Oslo Accords, he must annex the large West Bank settlement blocs, and withhold tax transfers to the Authority. That report suggests that a small but powerful militant bloc in Israel is responsible for dictating the actions by U.S. politicians that have already resulted in several decades of attacks upon U.S. targets, including 9/11, with more to come. Free Gaza Movement. http://www.freegaza.org/ http://www.freepalestinemovement.org/home.html Almost Total Colonization of Palestine by Israel The below map shows Israel's invasion, occupation, and colonization of Palestinian land—with the aid and abetting of pandering U.S. politicians. As admitted by one Zionist, the reason for continued placement of permanent settlements in the occupied territory with large numbers of Jews would change the population from mostly Palestinians to a combination with Jews from Israel, and now no longer be recognized as a separate nation. Over 300,000 Israelis have been placed into permanent settlements throughout the occupied Palestine territory, and they have stated they will shoot to kill anyone that forces them from their home in the occupied land. The mere presence of the settlements throughout Palestine shows that the militant Israeli leaders have no intention of leaving, and are lying their way to colonizing the entire seized territory. Israeli Brutality Protected by Pandering U.S. Politicians The following are victims of Israeli brutality—supported by pandering U.S. politicians, two of thousand of victims of Israeli brutality. Sampling of War Crimes Against Palestinians in Gaza One of many writings about Israeli war crimes against civilians was the posting in "Live From Occupied Palestine," (http://livefromoccupiedpalestine.blogspot.com. (http://directaction.org.au/issue8/palestine_why_israel_commits_war_crimes.) On January 23 [2009], just days after the Israeli military finished its 22-day war against the 1.5 million inhabitants of the Gaza Strip, Israel’s military censor banned both the Israeli and international media from publishing the names of, or information about, Israeli military officers who participated in the war. The ban came a result of growing calls for the Israeli government and military to be charged with war crimes. According to the January 23 Tel Aviv Haaretz daily, the Israeli government is fearful that the publication of names, as well as interviews given by Israeli military officers describing the destruction of Palestinian homes or harm inflicted on Palestinian civilians, would be used to prosecute them and the troops under their command. Israel’s assault on Gaza, which began on December 27, resulted in the deaths of more than 1400 Palestinians. According to the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights, 90% of those killed were civilians, with at least 400 children. In addition, more than 5300 Palestinians were wounded, many critically. Pandering U.S. Politicians Protecting Even the Israeli Murderers of U.S. Navy Personnel! The United States has gone to war against nations for doing far less than what Israeli leaders have done to the United States. A few examples: U.S. politicians protect and defend the repeated attacks on the U.S.S. Liberty by Israeli forces that killed U.S. sailors. If any other country had done that, the U.S. would have started a war against the country. In the matter of the U.S. invasion of Iraq, President L.B. Johnson fabricated the Tonkin Gulf attack upon a U.S. destroyer to start a war that killed over a million Vietnamese, including tens of thousands in the CIA's Phoenix assassination program. Israel's Mossad had for years been involved in smuggling drugs into the United States, as detailed in the book, Drugging America. These acts, along with the spying and the murder of U.S. Navy personnel, were subversive acts against the United States. Israel's Mossad has committed assassinations in the United States of Americans (and citizens in other countries), as described in the books, Defrauding America and Drugging America. Any U.S. politician that dares to make statements against Israel is not only falsely accused of anti-Semitism but also targeted for extinction, as many learned. In this way, Israel subverts the political process in the United States. Israel covertly assisted corrupt covert subversive actives by U.S. leaders harmful to American interests, including such matters as October Surprise (detailed in Defrauding America). Israel's ability to expose these corrupt activities by American politicians undoubtedly plays a certain blackmail role against U.S. leaders and politicians. Israel has repeatedly spied upon the United States and stolen its secrets. Among the most publicized spy cases were those of Jonathan Pollard and Ben-Ami Kadish. A New York Times article (December 31, 2008) made reference to Kadish with the following comments: An espionage case that had threatened United States relations with Israel and stirred talk of the death penalty ended [when Kadish] pleaded guilty in federal court in Manhattan to reduced charges [reduced because of his age] of leaking classified military documents to the Israeli government in the 1980s.] Mr. Kadish's case has been linked to the case of Mr. Pollard, which has long been a matter of contention between the United States and Israel, whose leaders have argued, unsuccessfully, for Mr. Pollard's release. Pandering to Israel's powerful political lobbies, such as AIPAC, these U.S. politicians sought to advance their own political self interests, despite the fact that their conduct was generating great hatred for the United States and responsible for the continuing terrorist attacks. For some U.S. politicians, the shifting of loyalty from the nation's interests to the right-wing militant Israel government was out of fear; fear of having powerful Israel lobbies fund opposition parties, threatening their continuing in Congress. In this way, the ripple effect, they harmed the long-term interests of Israel, and doomed the people of the United States and the nation to decades of terrorist attacks. These U.S. politicians sought self-serving short-term electoral gains by pandering also to those Jewish voters in favor of the hostile Israel actions and right-wing Christians in the United States. They ignored the many Israelis and Jewish people that opposed the brutal occupation of Palestine. Learn more about the culture of politicians in the U.S. Congress during the past 50 years and the other tragedies made possible by their pathetic culture. Decades of Attacks Upon U.S. by People Outraged by Atrocities Enabled by Israeli And pandering U.S. Politicians The starting point for world-record hatred for the United States has been the1967 invasion of Transjordan (Palestine) and the 40-plus years of brutality, humiliation, and murders perpetrated by Israel upon people in the occupied territory. This hatred and growth of terrorists was then further fueled by the actions of U.S. Politicians providing Israel with war machines to kill the people in the occupied territory, and further inflamed by the political decision to invade Afghanistan and Iraq and kill, maim, and wound over a million innocent people. The hijackings of four airliners on September 11, 2001, were a ripple effect from the United States aiding and abetting Israel's brutal occupation and killing of thousands of innocent civilians in Palestine, Gaza, and Lebanon. As the hatred for the United States grew, U.S. leaders and politicians further inflamed millions of people by invading on a series of lies Afghanistan and Iraq. People throughout the Middle East, other than the normally peaceful Palestinians, are outraged by the brutal occupation ands treatment of the Palestinians, forcing them to use the only means available to them since the United Nations have been repeatedly blocked in taking action to address these human rights outrages by repeated vetoes from U.S. politicians. Lebanese Hezbollah, a Shiite political and social organization, were so outraged that they periodically waged war against the Zionist state of Israel. People from other nations, such as Osama bin Laden, also outraged by the brutality of Israel's militant leaders, sought to strike back at the United States. Although no one can support their form of retaliation, they felt they had a cause. The American public, brain-washed by their politicians pandering to the lobby group of the Zionist state of Israel, and kept ignorant by mainstream U.S. media personnel and media groups with a culture like that of the Murdoch media group, and political pundits, especially at Murdoch's Fox "News Channel," don't recognize the relationship between U.S. political leaders and the decades of catastrophic terrorist attacks. None Dare Tell the Obvious: Keep the American Public Dumbed Down! Singer Tony Bennett said to radio host Howard Stern (September 2011), referring to the terrorists' 9/11 attacks, "They flew the plane in, but we caused it, because we were bombing them and they told us to stop. That basically correct statement, even admitted by Osama bin Laden, caused a media uproar. Bennett was then forced to apologize for an absolutely correct statement, stating, "There is no excuse for terrorism and the murder of the nearly 3,000 innocent victims of the 91 attacks on our country." He was again correct, but the American people are so uninformed and diverted with obsession with trivia, that they can't see the obvious. Hezbollah is a Shiite military, political and social organization in Lebanon with strong ties to Iran and Syria. Over the past generation, it has transformed itself from a shadowy militant group known primarily for terror attacks to the country’s pre-eminent political and military force. The United States regards Hezbollah as a terrorist group that is financed by Iran to extend its influence. Catalyst for Years of Terrorist Attacks on U.S. Targets The attacks of September 11, 2001, and a series of earlier terrorist attacks, had their original roots in the Israeli-U.S. conduct toward the besieged Palestinians. Powerful Israel forces repeatedly claimed that Israel is a friend of the United States and that it must deny to the Palestinian people every possible legal remedy against the brutal Israeli occupation. Let's look at some of the tragic events upon America and its people resulting from U.S. politicians aiding and abetting and pandering too the militant right-wing Israel government: 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center (assisted by incompetence and misconduct of employees of U.S. Department of Justice). Bombing of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania (assisted by the same hardcore corruption of key DOJ employees). August 7, 1998. Simultaneously hijackings of four U.S. airliners (assisted and enabled by the same hardcore corruption of key DOJ employees). Oct. 12, 2000 - A terrorist bomb damages the destroyer USS Cole in the port of Aden, Yemen, killing 17 sailors and injuring 39. Others. There is no way that the United States can protect itself from the anger-fueled determination by millions of people wanting to kill Americans and harm U.S. interests. In the United States, no thought whatsoever has been given to why so many people hate the United States. Also check www.defraudingamerica.com/israel_index.html, and for more on the history of serious misconduct by U.S. leaders check www.defraudingamerica.com. Over a Hundred UN Resolutions Against Israel's Brutalities—With Relief Blocked by U.S. Vetoes Dozens of United Nations Resolutions have been issued against Israel relating to brutal and humiliating occupation. Subservient U.S. politicians and threats against other nations, including withholding funds, has enabled Israel to enjoy international immunity against material actions being taken. The American people, and national security, suffered a series of brutal attacks by victims and others outraged by this conduct. These attacks have dramatically altered life for the American people, who, mostly, to this date, haven't the faintest clue as to why they are under attack. In the book, "Deliberate Deceptions: Facing the Facts About US-Israeli Relationship," former Congressman Paul Findley, one of the few members of Congress not pandering to Israeli militants, states the Israel, with the collusion of the power elite of the United States, has successful blockade the United Nations from providing relief to the Palestinians against the militant acts of Israeli politicians. The constant veto and threat of veto by U.S. politicians has kept the flames of hatred burning against the United States enablers. From 1967 to 1989 the UN Security Council passed 131 resolutions directly addressing the Arab–Israeli conflict. In early Security Council practice, resolutions did not directly invoke Chapter VII. They made an explicit determination of a threat, breach of the peace, or act of aggression, and ordered an action in accordance with Article 39 or 40. Resolution 54 determined that a threat to peace existed within the meaning of Article 39 of the Charter, reiterated the need for a truce, and ordered a cease-fire pursuant to Article 40 of the Charter. Although the phrase "Acting under Chapter VII" was never mentioned as the basis for the action taken, the chapter's authority was being used. The United Nations General Assembly has adopted a number of resolutions saying that the strategic relationship with the United States encourages Israel to pursue aggressive and expansionist policies and practices. The 9th Emergency Session of the General Assembly was convened at the request of the Security Council when the United States blocked efforts to adopt sanctions against Israel. The United States responded to the frequent criticism from UN organs by adopting the Negroponte doctrine. Palestinians Forced to Seek Relief Through Recognition of Statehood After over 40 years of brutal occupation, made possible by pandering U.S. politicians, the Palestinian Authority decided to file an application with the United Nations Security Council for United Nations recognition as a state. In the event that this would be vetoed by U.S. politicians, then the Palestinian Authority decided to file with the United Nations General Assembly for enhanced observer status. (The Vatican has that status, and Switzerland had that status initially until it became a UN member in 2002.) (A veto would be "necessary" only if nine out of the 15 council members voted to grant statehood recognition.) As an observer state, Palestine could participate in debates within the Assembly, accede to treaties, join specialized UN agencies such as the Law of the Sea Treaty, the International Civil Aviation Organization, and the International Criminal Court. But it could not vote, could not sponsor resolutions, and could not suggest candidates for Assembly committees. But under the Law of the Sea Treaty, Palestine could protest to the Court of Justice the Israel blockage, and protest Israel's natural-gas offshore claims. Also, as member in the International Criminal Court, Palestine, as an observer state, could ask the International Criminal Court to investigate alleged Israeli war crimes and other crimes that Israel committed in Palestine. These would include those occurring after July 2002, the attacks on Gaza in 2008 and 2009, and also the attacks on the Peace for Gaza flotillas. A New York Times article quoted Palestine leader Abbas stating, “We have exhausted all opportunities, so we have to go to the UN." Israel and U.S. Politicians Threatening Palestinians If They Seek End to Brutal Colonizing Finally forced by decades of obstacles by U.S. and Israeli politicians to regain their seized land, Palestinians decided to seek relief in the United Nations via Statehood. In response, Israel and U.S. politicians vowed reprisals. U.S. politicians and Israel's militant leaders warned of dire consequences if the Palestinians went ahead with their plans. "Dire consequences" for an oppressed and occupied people to seek statehood? That was the only option for Palestinians after 30 years of being rebuffed, humiliated, killed, while Israel builds permanent settlements throughout the occupied territory making obvious it had no intention of halting its occupation. U.S. politicians threatened to cut off financial assistance, shut down a Washington-based Palestinian organization, while Israel threatened its own retaliation. U.S. and Israeli leaders and politicians engaged in sham arguments, in the words of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, that going to the United Nations would “set back peace.” But there was no peace, and Israel's massive building of permanent settlements deep inside the occupied territory made it obvious to anyone but a moron that Israel had no intention of vacating the seized land. How can seeking resolution of the gross invasion and occupation problems, the humiliation, the murders of innocent people, be a problem, or, as ridiculously stated, "set back peace!" Solving those problems are some of the basic functions of the international body. What lame excuse could U.S. and Israeli politicians use? The truth is, and as shown by the massive building of permanent settlements throughout the occupied territory, Israel's militant leaders had no intention of a state for Palestine, and this deception was aided and abetted by a mass of pandering U.S. politicians. As anyone with street smarts can recognize, even more anger against the U.S. results from this arrogant contempt for oppressed people. Outrage to Threats "Dire Consequences"—Zbigniew Brzenzski Veterans Today had an article (September 19, 2011) by Debbie Menon addressing the warning given by Zbigniew Brzenzski on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" program, warning of dire consequences if the United States blocks statehood for Palestine. The article stated: “If we take a vote against Palestinian Independence in the UN, it is not only a serious strategic error but a tragic historical error.” Zbigniew Brzezinski has just returned from a regional conference in Russia, he discusses the absence of any strategic sense of direction in US foreign and Middle East policy. He makes some policy recommendations. He stresses “the stakes are high,”… and claims “a new era is upon us.” In his view “…not an era of democracy but an era of populism.” “Popular views are harder, tougher and uncompromising” he asserts. He shares the view of the Europeans that “America’s position in the Middle East is disintegrating in between our eyes” without direction; “We have missed the boat here,” he asserts. When asked about his view on the UN Vote on Palestine statehood coming up, he said…if we take a stand against Palestinian independence, it is not only a serious strategic error but a tragic historical error… it will end up very tragically for all concerned… us, the Middle East, specifically for the Palestinians and in the long run for Israel. [United States in Lunatic Phase] On domestic matters, I like his use of choice of words, “lunatic phase,” “never-never land,” “unrelated to reality.” “1% ownership of the world. [Brzenzski was United States National Security Advisor to President Jimmy Carter from 1977 to 1981.] United States "More Toxic" in the Arab World A Financial Times article (September 19, 2011), titled, "US diplomats race to prevent Palestinian "train wreck', adding: Prince Turki al-Faisal, the former Saudi Arabian ambassador to the US and part of the ruling family, last week warned that an American veto would end the allies' "special relationship" and make the US "toxic" in the Arab world. [Or, even more toxic than it already is!] Blocking the move would also undercut the US's authority as a genuine mediator in the peace proc3ess that Mr. Obama has only halfheartedly pursued since taking office. Exactly a year ago this week, Barack Obama stood at the podium at the UN General Assembly and declared his support for a Palestinian state. Palestinians will never know the pride and dignity that comes with their own state," Mr. Obama told the general assembly, unless the two parties reached a peace agreement. [Actions by Israel's hard liners would never agree to releasing the seized territory.] So it will be with some degree of awkwardness that Mr. Obama returns to the UN this week and directs his representatives to vote against a plan that would lead to Palestinians reaching exactly that destination. The US president will be acutely aware of how hypocritical he must appear: voicing support for democratic transitions across the Middle East at the same time as scuppering Palestinian aspirations for recognition. The chances of protests, particularly in the West Bank, if Palestinians are emboldened by a veto, are not insignificant. The US could further inflame the situation if Congress makes good on its pledge to cut off $600 million in annual aid. [Political Threat from Powerful Israeli Lobbies] Mr. Obama also has domestic considerations to bear in mind. With 14 months to go until voters decide whether to give him a second term, the president hardly wants to run foul of the powerful Jewish lobby in the US and the millions of dollars it has to inject into political campaigns. In Middle East newspapers and Internet sites, it was clear that if thee United States blocked the plight by Palestinians for an end to the brutality, anger toward the United States would be ever greater than it already was. That would pose the threat of even more terrorist attacks. Israel's Zionist Leaders Used Sham Negotiating Argument As a Blatant Ruse to Continue Colonizing Palestine Using U.S. politicians, and even the president of the United States as shills, Israel's hard-line Zionist leaders never had any intention of abandoning the seized and colonized Palestine territory. They had no intention of returning to the pre-invasion border, nor abandoning Jerusalem, not abandoning the settlers and permanent settlements throughout the Palestine territory. Many Jews in Israel, and throughout the world, are against the apartheid Zionist government. Many Jewish groups have shown far more interest in the plight of the Palestinians than the average non-Jew in the United States. These groups have held protests and frequently meet to generate interest in the outrages inflicted by the Zionist bloc in Israel. She charade by conniving Zionist militants—aided and abetted by pandering U.S. politicians—have duped most Americans and created such great anger among people throughout the Middle East and Africa that the United States continues to suffer a continuing series of terrorist attacks. Shrewd Dumbing down the American people, in this way, does have consequences! Little does the American public know, the pandering by U.S. politicians pandering to Israel's Zionist group has come with a terrible price, as shown by the series of terrorist attacks by people outraged over the harm inflicted by Israel's Zionist government and its supporters among most U.S. politicians. Reaction to Filing for Statehood Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas appeared before the United Nations General Assembly (September 23,m 2011) and formerly requested the United Nations to recognize the Palestine territory as a state. He was greeted with a long round of applause as he began his speech. Abbas stated that Israel was in a "race against time to redraw the borders," harming the lives of tens of thousands of Palestinian families. [More as Events Unfold] Israel and Its Pandering Shills in U.S. Congress: Source of Great Harm to Americans U.S. politicians and other shills for Israel's hardliners, repeatedly made statements that required a dumbed-down American public for an audience. For instance: The familiar line, "The United States Must Support Israel at the U.N. (Scandal scarred Murdoch's Wall Street Journal of September 16, 2011): "...a alliance based on shared democratic principles, and common strategic interests." The apartheid conduct, the taking of people's liberties, freedoms, their houses, limiting rights to people of the Jewish faith, hardly indicates democratic principles. The alienation of millions of people throughout thee world by funding, arming, and supporting the brutal Israeli occupation, resulting in a series of retaliatory actions against the United States, is hardly in the U.S. "Common strategic interests" The Palestinian leadership is intent on destroying the possibility of a negotiated settlement of the conflict with Israel in favor of unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state by the United Nations. "Negotiated settlement"? Only a totally fool would think that the Israel hardliners had any intent to negotiate. For 30 years Israel had been building permanent settlements in the occupied territory, which anyone but an outright fool would fail to understand that Israel had no intention of leaving the occupied territory. These settlements are over the entire occupied territory. "The Palestinian plan to win that one-sided endorsement form the U.N. this month in New York threatens Israel and insults the United States. The U.S. and the U.N. have long supported the idea that Israel and its neighbors should make peace through direct negotiations" "One sided endorsement?" Most members of the United Nations supports the Palestine cause. Only Israel and the subservient pandering politicians in the United States opposes the Palestine cause—with the few exceptions where U.S. funds and threats cause a nation to oppose the Palestine motions. "Insults the United States?" That might be true when consideration is given to how Israeli hardliner threaten any U.S. politician that does not act as a shill for them, and the insult against the American people by that behavior. | Direct negotiations failed as Israel had no intention of leaving the occupied territory as shown by the massive building of permanent settlements throughout the occupied territory. And the United Nations had issued over 65 resolutions against Israel, and none against Palestine. Many people in, the U.S. State Department privately complain that they appear to work for the Israeli government The Jerusalem Post reported that the U.S. had joined Israel in lobbying [and bribing] over 70 nations—many receiving financial aid from the United States, like the tiny Caribbean island nation of Grenada, to vote against denying the Palestine state application. An op-ed in The New York Times by Saudi Prince Turki al-Faisal warned that if the U.S. opposed the Palestine bid for statehood, it would jeopardize the “special relationship” between the two nations. He stated: "The United States must support the Palestinian bid for statehood at the United Nations this month or risk losing the little credibility it has in the Arab world. If it does not, American influence will decline further, Israeli security will be undermined and Iran will be empowered, increasing the chances of another war in the region." Rare U.S. Media Objections A New York Times l (September 12, 2011) stated: A United Nations vote on Palestinian membership would be ruinous. New York City Mayor Ed Koch, shillings for the extreme Israel faction, sought to enhance his standing with the extreme Israel faction by stating that the recent defeat of a Democrat in the traditionally Democratic New York City district was a repudiation of Obama's policies toward Israel, in urging a settlement by Israel based upon the 1967 borders, "as a message to President Obama that he cannot throw Israel under a bus with impunity." A New York Times editorial (September 15, 2011) stated of this pandering to the extreme Israeli fringes: Mr. Koch played a cynical game in urging special-election voters to choose the Republican as a rebuke to Mr. Obama for saying the Israel's pre-1967 borders—with mutually agreed land swaps—should be the basis of any peace agreement. [Israel's Mr. Netanyahu has been the most intractable, building settlements and blaming his inability to be more forthcoming on his conservative coalition. Now, Mr. Obama is risking American ties with a fast-changing Arab world by vowing to veto the Palestinians statehood bid at the United Nations. Another New York Times article (September 15, 2011) focused on the danger to Democrats for daring to support a peaceful solution to the Israel occupation and the political pandering that occurs. The article stated: 2 Sides Seek Jewish Vote. Policies Toward Israel May Hurt Democrats Not since Jimmy Carter in 1980 has a Democrat running for president failed to win a lopsided majority of the Jewish vote. Republicans see a chance to change that in 2012, with President Obama locked in a tense relationship with Israel's leaders criticized by American Jews for being too tough on a close and favored ally. Tuesday's Republican upset in New York's Congressional election, they say, is a sign of bad things to come for Mr. Obama. Seeing trouble, the Obama campaign and Democratic Party leaders have mobilized to solidify the president's standing with Jewish voters. The Democratic National Committee has established a Jewish outreach program. The campaign is singling out Jewish groups, donors and other supporters with calls and e-mails to counter the Republican narrative that Mr. Obama is hostile to Israel. [i.e., not pandering enough to radical fringe group in control of Israel government!] American Jews are clearly less enchanted with Mr. Obama than they were in 2008, when nearly 8 out of 10 voted for him (in a Gallup poll last July, the most recent month for which data was available, his approval rating was 60 percent). Jewish lawmakers have been warning the White House that this disaffection could hut the president in turnout, fundraising and enthusiasm. [Republican Politicians Sabotaging American Interests] Republican groups are determined to make Israel a wedge issue. In recent days, billboards went up around New York City showing Mr. Obama smiling and shaking hands with the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, and declaring the president is "Not Pro-Israel." The Republican Jewish Coalition said it planned to use the same tactics in other districts with substantial numbers of Jewish voters in 2012. What Republicans Are Saying About Israel: [Under a picture of Mitt Romney] "President Obama has thrown Israel under the bus. He has disrespected Israel and undermined its ability to negotiate peace. He has also violated a first principle of American foreign policy, which is to stand firm by our friends." [Under a picture of Michele Bachman, "Sees a divine mandate to support Israel"]: "We believe very strongly that nations also receive blessings as they bless Israel." In 2010 she warned that "if we reject Israel, then there is a curse that comes into play." [Under a picture of Rick Perry, "Cites a natural affinit8y between Texas and Israel"] "I mean, we're talking about two groups of people who were willing to give up their lives for freedom and liberty." [While invading, occupying,, and killing people in the invaded territory!] ------------------------------ The Nation article (September 22, 2011) "Obama's UN Debacle," hostage to militant Israel politicians and subservient U.S. politit8icans, especially the Republicans. Ostrich-Like Reaction to the Media: Dumbed-Down American Public Part of the problem with the failure of most Americans to react to the constant deceptions played upon them is the dumbing down practices of U.S. media personnel, and the culture of U.S. media corporations, something like the Murdoch scandals tat first erupted in Britain, but represented by Murdoch's U.S. media ownerships, including the New York Post, the Wall Street Journal, and other Murdoch holdings in the United States. Editorials in the Wall Street Journal have had a history of far-fetched arguments against Palestinians and supportive of Israel's brutality. Ignorance may be bliss, but it comes at a horrendous price, as seen by the years of terrorist attacks against U.S. targets by those people harmed or outraged by the brutality ordered or enabled by U.S. political leaders in the Middle East. Americans have paid and will continue to pay a heavy price for their ignorance of these and other areas of misconduct and their failure to protest. Good American people should be ashamed and outraged at what their political leaders are doing, in their name, to perpetrated one of the greatest national brutalities upon the people of another nation--made possible by subservient U.S. politicians selling their own country down the river for benefit, and causing a series of continuing terrorist attacks upon the United States by people outraged by what is being done to the Palestinians. At least the "terrorists" show outrage, while most Americans either don't make the effort to understand their corrupt leadership, or are too lazy to care. Should Americans Care? Should Americans care? Americans have already paid for the conduct by Israeli militant leaders and the pandering U.S. politicians in a series of never-ending and worsening terrorist attacks, brutal deaths, and many trillions in costs that have already changed the quality of life for many Americans, and the end is nowhere in sight. Dumbing Down the American People— As the Nazi Did to the People in Germany— With Similar Deadly Consequences U.S. politicians and other shills for Israel's hardliners repeatedly made statements that required a dumbed-down American public for an audience. The Palestine issue is only one of many such instances. Focusing at this time on the Palestine issue: The familiar line, "The United States Must Support Israel at the U.N. Direct negotiations failed as Israel had no intention of leaving the occupied territory as shown by the massive building of permanent settlements throughout the occupied territory. And the United Nations had issued over 65 resolutions against Israel, and none against Palestine. ------------------------------- A New York Times article (September 18, 2011) by Thomas L. Friedman, titled, "Israel: Adrift at Sea Alone," stated in part: The most diplomatically inept and strategically incompetent government in Israel's history have put Israel in a very dangerous situation. This has also left the U.S. government fed up with Israel's leadership, but a hostage to its ineptitude, because the powerful pro-Israel lobby in an election season can force the administration to defend Israel at the U.N., even when it knows Israel is pursuing policies not in its own interest or America's. ... by mobilizing Republicans in Congress to box in Obama and by encouraging Jewish leaders to suggest that Obama is hostile to Israel and is losing the Jewish vote. Another New York Times article (September 19, 2011) titled, "Palestinians Turn to U.N., Where Partition Began," stated in part: The original two-state solution designed to establish separate countries for Jews and Arabs anticipated the day that both would seek United Nations membership. "When the independence of either the Arab or the Jewish State as envisaged in this plan has become effective," begins a paragraph deep in General Assembly Resolution 181 from November 1947, then "sympathetic consideration" should be give to the application." The Palestinians see the membership application as a last-ditch attempt to preserve the two-state solution in the face of ever-encroaching Israeli settlements, as well as a desperate move to shake up the negotiations that they feel have achieved little after 20 years of American oversight. The "question of Palestine" has bedeviled the United Nations like none other since it was founded, with the original partition plan followed by hundreds of resolutions from the General Assembly and the Security Council, most never enforced. Palestinians ... position has gradually eroded over the past 20 years, when the United States began monopolizing the negotiations with the 1991 Madrid peace conference. They remain under occupation, the number of Jewish settlers has tripled to around 600,000, and they have far less freedom of movement in the territories ostensibly meant to become their state. --------------------------- The Wall Street Journal, a literal mouthpiece for Israel and its powerful lobby in the United States, had an article (September 20, 2011) that appeared to reveal the reason for the delaying tactic. The article argued in part that Palestine's population does not comprise a single population, and does not exclusively control all of its territory (referring to the large number of Israel settlers colonizing the occupied territory by Israel's government and the presence of the invading Israel military! The Palestine Authority, does not meet the basic characteristics of a state necessary for such recognition.... As of today, the PA has neither a permanent population [mixture of Arabs and Jews infiltrated by Israel] nor defined territory [resulting from Israel's invasion and occupation] The PA does not control any part of the West Bank to the exclusion of Israeli authority [due to invasion and occupation by Israel]. ------------------------------- A simple question could be "What possible reason can United States politicians have for denying statehood to people of an occupied country?" It is another form of bribery by the powerful lobby group for the militant Israeli leaders!! Self-Serving Conduct by U.S. Politicians Bodes More Great Tragedies for America Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, a Republican from Florida, the chairwoman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, proposed legislation coinciding with the Palestinian bid for statehood recognition at the United Nations. Among the provisions in that legislation: Far reaching negative consequences for the United Nations. Greatly reduce the U.S. contributions to the United Nations unless the U.N. agrees to allow member states to contribute on a voluntary basis, a condition that the United Nations is unlikely to meet these demands, the bill would result in an automatic cut in U.N. dues. Provide for punishing the brutalized Palestinians for seeking statehood recognition at the United Nations, and thereby acting as shills for the powerful Israeli lobby and the militant Israeli leadership. The legislation would eliminate funding for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees. Those funds provides life-saving humanitarian assistance to Palestinian refugees. It would also slash funds to any U.N. program that recognizes an upgrade to the status of the Palestinian mission at the U.N. Require the United States to oppose the expansion of existing U.N. peacekeeping missions, thereby preventing the U.N. to deploy missions that help restore peace and prevent new outbreaks of violent conflict. If passed, and even the consideration of such legislation, outrages people in the Middle East, enlarges on the people wanting to kill Americans (from earlier conduct by U.S. politicians), and further show other countries the legal stupidity, pandering, and irresponsibility taking over in the United States. Sampling of history of misconduct and enabling tragedies by members of Congress. Its misconduct relating to the Palestinian situation is old hat! Bald-Face Pandering by Politician With Grave National Consequences Compounding that Republican legislature were the conduct of other Republicans, including presidential nominee Rick Perry of Texas during an Israeli press conference (September 20, 2011), where he was publicly pandering to this powerful group whose influence on the actions of U.S. politicians have played key roles in the years of terrorist attacks upon the United States. Perry stated: "As a Christian . . . I stand with Israel." He stated that his Christian faith required him to strongly support Israel's [invasion and brutal occupation and colonizing of Palestine and denial of statehood recognition]. "I also as a Christian have a clear directive [from God, like George W Bush frequently stated!!] so from my perspective it’s pretty easy. Both as an American and as a Christian, I am going to stand with Israel." As Perry was talking he was surrounded by what he called “a diverse group of Jewish leaders from here and abroad,” He criticized President Obama’s approach to the Middle East, calling him “naive and arrogant, misguided and dangerous.” The following were Perry's remarks made at the Israel-Palestine Press conference in New York City: Thank you. Let me begin by thanking Dr. Solomon Frager and Aron Hirtz for helping us organize this press conference today. I am joined today by a diverse group of Jewish leaders from here and abroad who share my concern that the United Nations could take action this week to legitimize the Palestinian gambit to establish statehood in violation of the spirit of the 1993 Oslo Accords. We are indignant that certain Middle Eastern leaders have discarded the principle of direct negotiations [30 years of delays while Israel colonizes the invaded territory and then claims it is part of Israel] between the sovereign nation of Israel and the Palestinian leadership, and we are equally indignant that the Obama Administration’s Middle East policy of appeasement has encouraged such an ominous act of bad faith. Simply put, we would not be here today at the precipice of such a dangerous move if the Obama Policy in the Middle East wasn’t naïve, arrogant, misguided and dangerous. It must be said, first, that Israel is our oldest and strongest democratic ally in the Middle East and has been for more than 60 years. The Obama Policy of moral equivalency, which gives equal standing to the grievances of Israelis and Palestinians, including the orchestrators of terrorism, is a dangerous insult. [Democratic? How can a country invading another and subjecting its people to humiliation and murders and throwing out Arab people be called democratic!] There is no middle ground between our allies and those who seek their destruction. America should not be ambivalent between the terrorist tactics of Hamas and the security tactics of the legitimate and free state of Israel. By proposing ‘indirect talks” through the U.S. rather than between Palestinian leaders and Israel, this administration encouraged the Palestinians to shun direct talks. [Direct talks were a blind ally while Israel continued to colonize the invaded land with permanent settlements.] Second, it was wrong for this Administration to suggest the 1967 borders should be the starting point for Israeli-Palestinian negotiations. When you consider this suggestion was made on the eve of the Israeli Prime Minister’s visit, we see in this American Administration a willingness to isolate a close ally and to do so in a manner that is insulting and naïve. [Perry approved Israel's annexation of invaded land.] Third, by injecting the issue of 1967 borders in addition to a construction freeze in East Jerusalem and Israeli settlements, the Obama Administration has put Israel in a position of weakness and taken away their flexibility to offer concessions as part of the negotiation process. [Perry again supported Israel's building of permanent settlements in the invaded and occupied land.] Indeed, bolstered by the Obama Administration’s policies and apologists at the U.N., the Palestinians are exploiting the instability in the Middle East hoping to achieve their objective without concessions or direct negotiations with Israel. [Palestinians, in desperation after 20 years of fruitless talks, watching Israel colonize the land, had no other choice.] The reason is simple: if they perceive they can get what they want from the U.N. without making any concessions why should they negotiate with Israel? [Concessions to an invading and occupying enemy!] While the administration is right to finally agree to fight the Arab resolution at the U.N., it bears repeating that we wouldn’t be here today if they had stuck to some basic principles concerning Palestinian statehood: First, Palestinian leaders must publicly affirm Israel’s right to exist, and to exist as a Jewish state; [Palestinian Authority did not object to Israel's existence.] Second, President Abbas must persuade all factions including Hamas to renounce acts of terrorism and release kidnapped Israeli Gilad Shalit, and; [Israel has over 1,000 Arabs in prison, many being women and children, and most never charged or convicted of any offense.] Third, Palestinian statehood must be established only through direct negotiations between the Palestinian leadership and the nation of Israel. [After 20 years of Israel blocking and colonizing Palestine land!] By not insisting on these principles, the Obama Administration has appeased the Arab Street at the expense of our own national security interests. They have sowed instability that threatens the prospects of peace. Israel’s security is critical to America’s security. We must not forget it was Israel that took out the nuclear capabilities of Iraq in 1981 and Syria in 2007. In both instances, their actions made the free world safer. [Political pandering to Israel was the initial and primary reason for hatred that spurned repeated terrorist attacks.] Today, the greatest threat to the security of Israel and, by extension, a threat to America, is the Iranian government developing a nuclear arsenal. One thing is clear: we must stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Economic sanctions must be tightened and increased and all options must remain on the table to stop a brutally repressive regime from acquiring a nuclear capability. [Seeking to start still another war, as if Afghanistan and Iraq weren't deadly enough for Americans.] To date, we have fumbled our greatest opportunity for regime change. As average Iranian citizens were marching on Tehran in the Green Revolution in 2009, America was wasting precious time on a naïve policy of outreach to both the Iranian and Syrian governments. Who knows what the leadership of Iran would look like today if America had done everything in its power to provide diplomatic and moral support to encourage the growing movement of dissidents who sought freedom. Our actions in recent years have destabilized the Middle East. We have been complacent in encouraging revolt against hostile governments in Iran and Syria and we have been slow to recognize the risks posed by the new regime in Egypt and the increasingly strained relationship between Israel and Turkey. [Absolutely true, but not as Perry insinuated. U.S. politicians aided and abetted Israel's invasion and brutal treatment of Palestinians.] It is vitally important for America to preserve alliances with moderate Muslim regimes and Muslim leaders who seek to preserve peace and stability in the region. But today, neither adversaries nor allies alike, know where America stands. [Muslim countries have grown to hate Americans due to actions of U.S. politicians.] Our muddle of a foreign policy has created greater uncertainty in the midst of the “Arab Spring.” And our policy of isolating and undermining Israel has only encouraged our adversaries in their aggression. With the end-run on Palestinian statehood imminent before the U.N., America must act swiftly. First, every nation within the U.N. must know America stands with Israel and the Oslo accord principle of direct negotiations without equivocation. Second, America must make it clear that a declaration of Palestinian Statehood in violation of the spirit of the Oslo accords could jeopardize our funding of U.N. operations. [The Oslo accords did not envision years of obfuscation and colonizing by Israel.] Third, the Palestinians must know their gambit comes with consequences in particular that America will have to reconsider the $4 billion in assistance we have provided to the Palestinians over the last 17 years. [Recipe for even more hatred of Americans.] Fourth, we should close the PLO office in Washington if the U.N. grants the standing of a Palestinian state. And fifth, we must signal to the world, including nations like Turkey and Egypt whom we have considered allies in recent years, that we won’t tolerate aggression against Israel. [Others countries are not ignorant of the actions taken by U.S. politicians. Several have already stated that they would sever the friendly relations they had with the U.S. if the U.S. opposes UN statehood recognition for Palestine.] Israel is our friend and ally. I have traveled there several times, and met with its leaders. It is not a perfect nation, but its existence is critical to America’s security in the world. [Friend and ally? Espionage against the United States; the primary blame for decades of terrorist attacks upon U.S. targets!] It is time to change our policy of appeasement toward the Palestinians to strengthen our ties to the nation of Israel, and in the process establish a robust American position in the Middle East characterized by a new firmness and a new resolve. [Policy of appeasement to Palestinians; either he is on drugs or his pandering to Israel is pathologically obsessive.] If America does not head off the aggression of forces hostile to Israel we will only embolden them. Additional Comments After the end of World War II, Germany was not allowed to keep any of the land that it invaded and occupied. Neither was Japan allowed to keep any of the invaded and occupied land. But pandering U.S. politicians to the Jewish voters not only argue that Israel should retain part, or all, of the land Israel invaded, but that the Palestinians should be punished for, after 20 years of sham negotiations by the Israeli colonizers in the invaded land, now appeals to the United Nations for help. Israel invaded Palestine land in 1967, and brutalized the inhabitants. Anything but a total withdrawal would be rewarding an invading nation. There should be no negotiations over what part of the invaded land Israel should be allowed to keep; Israel should be forced to totally vacate the land it invaded. A poll in June 2011 by the Pew Forum showed that nearly half of American evangelicals “say the state of Israel is a fulfillment of biblical prophecy about the Second Coming of Jesus.” Proposed speech to United Nations by Professor William Cock, which President Barak Obama should have given, but which would have doomed his politically. Americans Continue to Also Suffer The Consequences of Zionist Brutalities If the facts are understood, the American people will have the more graphic example of how U.S. politicians and leaders have engaged in lying so as to pander to the militant Zionist element of the nation of Israel, and with enough understanding will recognize how this deep-seated American culture has so outraged people in other countries that they have engaged in years of terrorist attacks upon the United States, making possible such great American disasters as the 9/11 attacks. And this culture, if sufficient energy is exerted by people with normal intelligence, will understand permeates throughout government offices and has inflicted, or enable to be inflicted, greet harm to a formerly prosperous and great nation, and reduced it to a shell of what it could otherwise have been.
