Sample Highlights of U.S. Arrogance, Brutalities and Killings The title, Ugly American, could arguably apply to those Americans who were directly involved, or who in an y way aided and abetted, the ugly misconduct perpetrated against innocent people, whether within the United States or people overseas. A partial description of the misconduct is described throughout this and other books that I have written. The term "Ugly American" could apply to those people who were part of the misconduct; those who covered up for it; those who supported the people in government responsible for the misconduct, and those people who voted for the politicians that ordered or enabled these events to occur. Consider the following misconduct, and the people who in any way aided and abetted it, or approved the conduct of those who did. U.S. Invading an Impoverished Vietnam The U.S. invasion of a Vietnam on the excuse that the people preferred the communist form of government. The use of weapons that surely met the definition of weapons of mass destruction (WMD), killing thousands of innocent men, women, and children, most of whom were surviving in great poverty conditions and barely able to eek out a survival. The attacks were met by children willing to fight for their country against an invading hoard of Americans. Women and children were routinely herded together and slaughtered, as at Mai Lai, over 20,000 killed under the CIA's Phoenix Program on the belief that they may be resisters to the American slaughter, and over a million killed in combat. Throughout the invasion of this poor country, U.S. leaders were openly lying to the American people. U.S. Invading Laos and Cambodia As part of the invasion of Vietnam, the United States invaded and bombed Laos and Cambodia, killing still other innocent people. This invasion, denied by U.S. politicians and military leaders, was known to people throughout the world-except to Americans who were kept dumbed-down by U.S. media people. Today, half century later, people are still being killed and maimed by the unexploded bombs that explode when the poor peasants attempt to till the land. U.S. Invading Panama Invasion of Panama accompanied by killing of hundreds of Panamanians for the purpose of capturing Panamanian leader Noriega on the basis that she was assisting in supplying the demand for drugs by the American public. This overlooks the fact that he was involved in the drug smuggling that was being perpetrated initially by the CIA, and that the attack upon him was when he became too independent. U.S. Invading Tiny Island of Grenada Grenada. Invasion of Grenada on the pretext that an airport being built was to be used by the Soviet Union. The airport was intended, and then eventually used, to develop the tourist trade. U.S. Subverting Nicaragua The politicians in the Reagan-Bush I administrations "secretly" and in violation of law armed and funded rebels undermining the duly elected government in Nicaragua. These U.S. politicians funded, armed, and trained remnants of the former dictator Batista government to overthrow the lawfully elected government after the people had gotten rid of the U.S. supported brutal dictator, Batista. In the process, people acting in their government positions returned to the United States with drugs that were then distributed throughout the United States with great harm. U.S. Invading Cuba Years of retaliation against Cuba and its leader, Fidel Castro, after the people fought to throw out U.S. organized crime elements used by the U.S. government through the CIA. Plots to assassinate Cuba's leaders came from the White House; arming, training, and funding of groups to overthrow the Cuban government, invasion of Cuba. No adverse acts were taken by the Cuban government against the United States but U.S. leaders call Cuba a hostile government. The only adverse act was Cuba's approval for placing missiles on its territory, a right that any country has. The U.S. had missiles near the Soviet border but for the Soviets to do the same don a miniscule scale was impermissible. U.S. Subverting Iranian Government in 1953 Iran. The aiding of the United States in overthrowing the Iranian government in 1953, enabling the Shah of Iran to take power. I was in Iran that morning and watched the revolution start. My presence in Iran was a airline captain flying Muslim pilgrims to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina during the Muslim holy period called Ramadan. U.S. Providing funding, arms, intelligence, to Iraq during 1980s Iraq. Providing arms and intelligence to Iraq during the 1980s, encouraging Iraq to invade Kuwait, and then when it does invade Kuwait, the U.S. launches a massive assault upon the Iraqi armies, killing tens of thousands. As young George Bush assumes the presidency in 2001k, Bush is determined to invade Iraq on claims that the second-wound country has weapons of mass destruction and that it intends to attack the United States. No proof of this is provided. No concern is shown for the thousands of Iraqi civilians that would be killed, or the large numbers of Americans that would be killed in a ground war that would be vastly different from the turkey shoot of the Gulf War. U.S. Subverting Afghanistan Government In the 1970s, before the Soviet Union sent troops into Afghanistan, the CIA was in Afghanistan funding, training, and arming rebels to fight the Afghan leadership that had economic ties to the Soviet Union. The blowback from this subversive action included the entry of Soviet troops into Afghanistan to fight the rebels that were seeking to overthrow the Afghan government. This initial U.S. involvement resulted in massive destruction of Afghanistan, further contributing to Middle East hatred for Americans. U.S. Invading Iraq on Lies That A Child Could Recognize During the 1980s, the Reagan and Bush I administrations provided Iraq with funds, arms, and intelligence. The United States then, through U.S. Ambassador April Glaspie, informed Iraq that it had no interest in Iraq's controversy with Kuwait. With this military might made possible by the United States, Iraq then invaded Kuwait. In direct contradiction to the assurances given by the U.S. ambassador to Iraq, the U.S. launched a massive assault upon the Iraqi armies, killing tens of thousands as they retreated from Kuwait As young President George Bush II assumed the presidency in 2001, he engaged in serial lying about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction that were known to be non-existing. U.S. Assassination Plots Against Foreign Leaders White House plans and numerous attempts to assassinate foreign leaders. These included Cuban leader Fidel Castro, including using U.S. organized crime to do the dirty work; Libyan leader Kafdhafi, killing his daughter instead, on the belief that he may have been associated with the bombing of a nightclub in Germany frequented by American GIs; killing NgoDinh Diem, President of South Vietnam; attempted killing of Saddam Hussein, leader of Iraq; killing Salvadore Allende, President of Chile, 1970; and m any others. U.S. Brutality upon Victims of U.S. Invasions During the invasion of Vietnam, besides the tens of thousands of defenders who were killed by U.S. forces, thousands of civilians were murdered in the Phoenix program. After 9/11, U.S. forces tortured hundreds of detainees in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Guantanamo Bay. Entire groups of women and children, hurdled together in fear, were deliberately machine gunned to death, one highly publicized example occurring at Mai Lai. The perpetrators of that slaughter were never punished, and some even received medals. The indiscriminate bombing by the United States in Iraq knowingly killed thousands of innocent people, even children and infants. Funding and arming of Israel with weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear missiles, used against victims of land that Israel occupied. Refusal to object to Israel's murder of U.S. navy personnel on U.S.S. Liberty. U.S. Training, Funding, and Arming Assassination Squads The United States funded and trained assassination squads at the School of the Americas, year after year, despite evidence that its graduates were involved in terrorism and assassinations. Crimes Against the Sheep-Like American People As detailed particularly in the book Defrauding America, the American people, acting like sheep, have been victimized for years by the corrupt people in control in the three branches of the federal government. The conduct meeting the definition of terrorism by government agents against their own people includes such activities as the following: Paramilitary invasion of homes looking for drugs, often killing innocent people in the process. The imprisonment of thousands of innocent people by using false charges, false testimony, and false evidence, often resulting in life-in-prison sentences for innocent people. The endemic corruption in bankruptcy courts by federal judges, federal trustees, lawyers, law firms, often making paupers out of people who innocently exercise the statutory protections of Chapter 11; or people who are forced into bankruptcy courts where their assets are then seized and liquidated, in clear violation of the law. History of drug smuggling into the United States by CIA and other agents and people formerly associated with the CIA. The savings and loan corruption, including the role played by Senator John McCain as one of the Keating Five that protected and continued the looting of America's savings and loans, for which the public will be paying many billions of dollars. The corruption in the state and federal courts. These are only a sampling of the harm inflicted upon Americans, by the Trojan horse corruption in the three branches of government, which media peoplemany of whom are on the payroll of the CIA or other government officeskeep from the people. Details, and an easy-to-understand history of this corruption can be found in the various books written by insiders.
