One was to send a January 10, 2009, letter to New York Governor David Paterson before whom the petition for clemency was sent by imprisoned Richard Taus, the former FBI agent and war hero. Highlights in the letter follows included: Former FBI Special Agent falsely charged with criminal offense, sentenced to 50 years in prison, so as to prevent the American public from learning about high-level criminal activities involving the secret funding and arming of Iraq during the 1980s, the Reagan-Bush presidencies. The number of other people and groups directly or indirectly implicated in these and related crimes is such that every check and balance, in and out of government, can be expected to prevent the sheep-like American public from discovering these matters. And of the American people, their expected response? As usual, nothing! For those very few who are unhappy with the conduct by members of Congress, or the culture in the FBI-DOJ, why not write letters to these members of Congress, and especially those representing your state, demanding that they conduct hearings on these serious charges that have had such catastrophic consequences. If they simply turn the matter over to the thoroughly corrupt U.S. Department of Justice, the usual cover-up will occur. There is enough documented corruption detailed at this site and in the books written by insiders that those few people not in denial, with the most basic amount of outrage and courage, could force major changes to the endemic corruption that mutates throughout the Unites States. The current housing and financial debacles are only the most visible consequences of this culture.
