<body> Letters Sent to Congress Offering Evidence of FBI Murders During the past 40 years, former federal agent and his unusual coalition of other government agents and insiders have contacted members of Congress offering evidence on various forms of ongoing criminal activities that they, as a group, had discovered during their official government duties. This page relates to a sampling of letters sent to members of Congress in 2003, by former federal agent Rodney Stich, offering to provide evidence that he and his coalition had discovered. of: FBI agents providing classified information to Mafia figures. No response. It is a criminal offense to withhold information of a federal crime. Members of Congress were notified in writing of serious criminal activities affecting national security, and under the federal crime reporting statute, they had a mandatory duty to receive the information. Source of Information Stich obtained this information from former Mafia member Gregory Scarpa, Jr. (with whom Stich had a book contract); a former associate of Jimmy Hoffa, brutal crime thug Tony Spilotro (the person portrayed in the movie, Casino); and a former FBI agent who worked under DeVecchio. Stich offered to provide the names of his sources, including a former key member of the Colombo Mafia family in New York; a former underworld figure that was an associate of Jimmy Hoffa; Las Vegas mobster Tony Spilotro (the key figure in the movie, Casino); and a former FBI agent from the New York office, all of whom had key inside information on these serious crimes that involved FBI and DOJ officials in Washington. As in years past, despite the serious charges and consequences, not a single member of Congress responded. In 2006, the district attorney in Brooklyn, using the same mafia figure with whom Stich had a book contract in 2002, filed murder charges against FBI agent Lindley DeVecchio. The cover-up and obstruction of justice by members of Congress in 2003, when Stich offered them information, was finally circumvented in 2006 by the district attorney in Brooklyn.
