Research, and Book Writings

• Initially, the intent was to halt the continuing series of preventable and foreseeable airline disasters and deaths. Repeated airline disasters were occurring as a result of the arrogance and corruption in the government's aviation safety offices.
   
  • The author was a key hands-on federal aviation safety inspector-investigator, given the assignment to correct the conditions responsible for the worst series of airline disasters in the nation's history. He sought to circumvent the standard American cover-ups by writing the first in a series of books on the deadly politics of aviation safety. His first book on this area was Unfriendly Skies, published in 1978. The forth edition is called Unfriendly Skies: 20th and 21st Centuries. The books were the basis for his appearance as guest and expert on over 3,000 radio and television shows in the United States, Canada, and Europe.
     
  • Subsequent books detail the arrogance and corruption in other areas of government, and outside of government that continue to inflict great harm upon many innocent people, subvert national interests and national institutions, and harms national security.
     
  • This addition information and evidence came about as a result of not only his own investigative work, the actions taken over the years to silence him, inflicting great personal and financial harm, but also from the dozens of other insiders who provided him with highly sensitive information and evidence during the past 30 years. These insiders included agents of such government agencies as the FBI, DEA, CIA, ONI, Customs, Secret Service; former drug smugglers working for government personnel; and former Mafia figures.
     
• The author's efforts have changed to simply informing the people of the corruption, and the harm that is being done to them.
   
  • This change has arisen from the recognition of the extent of the corruption and people involved, the cover-ups by virtually every check and balance, by the pathetic apathy of the American people who knew of the problems, and the hopeless position of those few foolish insiders to change this culture.

Reasons for Continuation of Great Tragedies Directly and Indirectly Related to These Characteristics

• Decline in the moral fiber of the United States.
   
• Complicity of the people in Congress that have the moral and legal oversight responsibilities, and who are by themselves guilty of additional corruption.
   
• Complicity of judges (expanding on the lurid level of integrity in the legal fraternity)
   
• Complicity through cover-ups of American media people and media corporations.
   
• Expanding on the cover-ups into outright blatant lying by the explosive growth of political pundits.
   
• Americans, who:
   
  • Are completely consumed by the requirements to earn enough to support their families.
     
  • Are not intellectually up to understanding the problems.
     
  • Expect the checks and balances to halt these problems, too naive, too uninformed, too gullible, to realize that those in charge of the checks and balances are complicit.
     
  • Difficulty of finding the many books written in the past by insiders who sought to report to the people the corruption that they discovered.
     
  • Chose to ignore the problems that would otherwise require them to exert some semblance of courage and integrity.
     
  • Profit from taking advantage of the corruption.
