Sex Books Were Once Banned In Boston, And Now, DOJ Officials Have Banned A copy of the third edition of Defrauding America sent to the federal prison was rejected by prison warden Bernie Ellis at the Taft Correctional Institution in December 2005. The Department of Justice notice received by the publisher with the return of the book was that: "It encourages or instructs in the commission of a criminal activity, or encourages activities which are in violation of institutional policies or rules." However, the book: Details corrupt and criminal activities by people in good government positions in the three branches of government. Details efforts to expose such corruption, which could encourage others to try to do the same thing. In the mentality of Justice Department officials, it could probably be argued that any book trying to expose corruption in government offices, or that tries to encourage other people to report criminal activities in government, including those of Justice Department personnel, must be banned. In May 2004, the author was notified that a CIA asset betrayed by his CIA handlers, and in prison in New York, was barred from receiving the book, FBI, CIA, the Mob, and Treachery. A dual result (and surely intent) was that the CIA source (a former Pakistan intelligence officer) was blocked from providing the author with information about terrorists and the blundering actions of FBI and CIA agents who ignored the information--with tragic consequences. The excuse given to the inmate was that the book was "inflammatory." The book was factual and revealing, but not inflammatory. Other prisons have barred prisoners from receiving Defrauding America, Drugging America, and FBI, CIA, the Mob, and Treachery. Parallel to these obstructionist actions, DOJ prison officials at the federal maximum security prison at Florence, Colorado, blocked inmate Gregory Scarpa, Jr., in 2002, from providing to former federal agent, activist, and author, Rodney Stich, detailed information about the murderous actions of FBI agent Lindley DeVecchio. This information, partly revealed in 2002, was the information that Brooklyn district attorneys discovered several years later, and used in 2006 to charge that former FBI agent with multiple murders carried out with the Colombo Mafia family boss, Gregory Scarpa, Sr. In Stich's various books, other examples of FBI-DOJ obstruction of justice tactics are described, all of which undermine the internal security of the United States. This culture has been covered up by members of Congress and the 9/11 Commission. Instead of addressing the primary cultural problems, new agencies were formed--the standard practice for many decades.
