Questionable Intelligence of Some U.S.
Adults
In the 2011 elections, many people, concerned about the
financial and employment problem, voted back into control of government the very
same political party and culture that were responsible for the mess they were
voting against. Dissatisfied with their housing, financial, and employment
problems—not to mention two wars that killed
several hundred thousand people and bankrupting the United States—voted
out Democratic politicians and returned a slew of Republicans to office. They
had expected the Democrats, within two years of taking power, to reverse the
enormous harm caused by the preceding Republican administration.
This writer is an independent, has no strong bias one way or
the order, and strongly disagrees with some Democratic actions—as
well as Republicans, but recognizes that under a constitution there must be give
and take, and decisions of the majority have to be recognized if we are to
believe in constitutional requirements. But—the
facts strongly suggest that ignorance of the mostly unread public played a major
role in many voters voting for the return of Republicans. Disregarding political
ideology, the facts showed questionable intelligence in this change based upon
the following facts about the ultra serious problems and threats::
Sampling of the conduct and consequences of the Republican
Administration under President George H. Bush (Jr.):
- Republicans, aided by some Democrats, eliminated
financial safeguards that made possible the greatest financial crisis since
the Great Depression of the 1930.
- The many frauds associated with the housing crisis
occurred during the Republican control.
- The many frauds associated with the greatest financial
crisis since the Great Depression.
- Aiding and abetting of these frauds by regulators in
every responsible government office.
- Serious misconduct that made possible the September 11,
2001, terrorist attack that killed 3,000 people. (See
www.defraudingamerica.com/911_index.html.)
- Engaging in serial lying that plunged the United States
into a war with Iraq that:
- Killed and maimed over 100,000 Americans.
- Killed and maimed several hundred thousands Iraqis,
making the supporting American people complicit in their murders.
- Killed and maimed tens of thousands of Afghans and
started the longest war in history against the Taliban-led nation of
Afghanistan, solely on the basis that some al Qaeda personnel were
located in the remove and mostly ungovernable mountainous areas--despite
the fact that:
- The Taliban government offered to turn the al
Qaeda personnel mover to a third nation for investigation and
trial--as was done with the alleged Lockerbie bombers.
- The fact that the actual 9/11 hijackers had
resided for long periods prior to 9/11 in various European
countries, and also, in the case of the pilots, resided in the
United States and received pilot training under FBI reports were
suspicious.
- The primary enablers making for easy hijackings of four
airliners resided in the United States and their corrupt actions made made
known in numerous federal court filings under the federal crime reporting
statute; in letters to key government officials, and in books written by
former federal agent Rodney Stich and his coalition of former intelligence
and law enforcement personnel.
- Them invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan generated the
world's greatest number of people wanting to kill Americans, a condition
that will continue for generations.
- Despite the greatest harm ever inflicted upon the nation
and its people by the prior Republican administration and its culture, many
people:
- Voted to bring back the same culture and the same
Republicans.
- Voted for people lacking in experience, competency
and common sense, and even considering them for president, showing that
those voters had no possible comprehension of the complexity of the
problems facing the United States; the possible catastrophic
consequences that such incompetency can bring about, that the question
of having a intelligence test for voters would not be beyond common
sense.
Ironically, most of those voting for Republicans, and voting
to replace Democrats, were the same people that supported the wars that they
knew would kill many innocent people, and make themselves complicit in the
murders. A few examples of the consequences of their support:
The same Republicans that brought about the housing and financial frauds that
imploded in 2008, who lying embroiled the United States into two wars killing
thousands of people, are still being supported by large segments of the American
public.
