Government Personnel Shifting Blame
Repeating the tactics used with the downing of TWA Flight 800, government personnel shifted the blame for the downing of American Airlines Flight 587 from a terrorist act to a structural failure of the rudder assembly. The blame was on slight turbulence that may have existed. That excuse was recognized as fabrication by any pilot with years of experience with extreme turbulence. Also, by knowledge of aircraft that due to combat or other severe encounter lost their rudder assembly and were flyable.
As with TWA Flight 800, witness statements showing clear evidence of a fire or bomb explosion were covered up, and fabricated blame was presented to the mostly unqualified and naive American public.

587 that crashed shortly after takeoff from New York's JFK Airport. That crash
happened shortly after the hijackings of four airliners on September 11, 2001.
The political NTSB blamed the crash on failure of the rudder, despite the fact
that large four-engine aircraft have been known to remain controllable after
the loss of the entire vertical fin and rudder. The
political NTSB board members have
a long history of doctoring official accident reports.
